Resources While Abroad
The Education Abroad website has compiled a variety of resources for students while they are preparing or currently abroad. We highly recommend checking them out. Resources include Advice and Tools, Packing Lists, Career Integration, Passports & Visas, Identity & Inclusion, Safety Abroad, and Housing. Remember to also check with your host university for resources available while abroad. Remember that in times of emergency, it is important to think local first.
International Safety and Security
International Safety and Security (ISS) supports all students, faculty, and staff 24/7 while they are traveling internationally on university programs or for university business. All Illinois students studying abroad are automatically enrolled in an International Travel Insurance for the duration of their program. ISS oversees the enrollment and assists with insurance questions.
