Advising

IPENG offers a variety of different advising options to meet the unique needs of students throughout their entire Study Abroad process.

We can advise on overall study abroad programs, but it is important for students to also meet with their departmental academic advisor to discuss the impact study abroad has on their individual graduation plan and academic journey.

There are many things to consider when choosing a study abroad program including academic, cultural, financial, and many other personal reasons. IPENG advisors will never tell you exactly where you should go - but they will help guide you through the process and help you find a program that fits your needs.

Required Study Abroad Advising

Applying to the upcoming study abroad application cycle?

Prior to applying to an IPENG program, all applicants must complete a "Required Study Abroad Advising" component. Leading up to an application deadline, IPENG will offer multiple virtual group advising sessions to complete this requirement and post the sessions in OneIllinois.
