Global Research Scholars
Global Research Scholars are unique research intensive study abroad programs over the summer. They are designed for talented undergraduate students of all engineering majors. The programs combine a study abroad experiences with the opportunity to join a research team abroad through an IPENG approved program, and present research findings when you return to Illinois.
GRS Programming
IPENG offers GRS Programs in Denmark, France, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, and Taiwan. These programs vary in length, credits, application deadlines, and eligibility. For program specifics, visit the program brochures in My Study Abroad. All GRS programs are titled with "Summer ENGR: Global Research Scholars:".
Global Research Scholarship
All Grainger students that participate in a GRS program are eligible to receive the Global Research Scholarship. Students must submit and application and complete the necessary requirements as highlighted on the Scholarship Brochure.
